United States Circulating "type" coins

In contrast to my "survey collection"  which contains almost all of the major design elements, this collection of "type" coins is missing dozens of pieces recognized as members of the traditional "complete" type set.
   ** Missing major design elements (~ 4 minor & 2 Gold). 1/2 / 1 / 2 / 3 / 5 / 10 / 25 / 50 / $1 / gold

* The mintages listed below, the approximate mintages for the type, reveal some unppreciated relative rarities in the type series.

For example, the 1883 "no cents" nickel, while priced less than any other dates in the "V  nickel" series, is actually relatively scarce as a "type" coin.

Another unappreciated rarity is the coronet type 1/2 cent (1840-1857), with a mintage of 544,000, less than 1/6 of the draped bust type.
The coronet type 1/2 cent is  # 17 in rarity according to mintage, ranking above the large head bust quarter dollar (1,280,000)
and 20 cents piece (1,340,000) in rarity.

A final suprise to me, though perhaps better known to serious type collectors is the scarcity of the early 1/2 dime types, which includes 4
(counting the 1792) of the top 10 raritites in terms of mintage.
